Rulers and Measurements
PageStream has horizontal and vertical rulers to help you lay out your pages. The rulers are normally placed along the top and left sides of the window. The zero point, or origin, is normally at the top left corner of the page or spread.
The measurement capabilities of PageStream are logically divided into four functions, each of which can be set to a different default measurement system. These four divisions are horizontal, vertical, relative and text. The separate horizontal and vertical functions allow you the flexibility, for instance, to use inches vertically and picas horizontally. The relative function is used for non-directional measurements, such as nudging objects and line lengths. The text function is used for measuring type size and leading.
