Pagestream 5.0.5.8 demo for Mac OSX (under OS X 10.6.5)
TO DUPLICATE: Create a multi-page sample document with 2-column text in an article that occupies the upper half of page 1 and continues on page 2, and 2-column text in an article that occupies the lower half of page 1 and continues on page 3. Import text into each article that spills over into its linked text frames on subsequent pages. Create a text frame to hold the jump line. Type "Cont'd on page <#>" where <#> is inserted via menu item "Type/[next|previous] frame page number". Place the jump-line box at the upper right of the upper article on page 1. It will have the correct page number. Select the jump-line text frame with the object tool, and move it to a point just above the halfway mark of the article. The jump-line page # is still correct; but move it beyond the half way mark and it will pick up the next frame page # of the article on the bottom half of the page. Screen snapshot sent via direct email. Ernest Unrau | |
