I have PageStream 5 Pro versions 5.0.2.4, 5.0.2.10, 5.0.3.4, 5.0.4.3, 5.0.4.4, 5.0.4.17, and 5.0.4.34 installed on my E: partition. They were working fine for years up til a few days or weeks ago. Now, they will not open. 5.0.2.4 and 5.0.3.4 simply don't respond. The rest of them give me a requestor to submit an error report. I have submitted error reports for all of them, several times over the past few days or weeks, but have heard nothing. I have to use PageStream 4 version 4.1.5.8 but the refresh icon in the toolbar doesn't work in it. I am using windows XT Media Center Edition Service Pack 3, acer 9010, 2.16 GHz, 2 GB of Ram. I suspect a Windows update is responsible, but I don't see another bug report about it.

Did you reinstall a version of PGS? If you did:

Lookout for viruses or even reinstall Windows.

PGS starts up with PageStream5.ini. PGS 5.0.2.4 until 5.0.4.4 uses PageStream5.ini in PageStream/userPrefs. PGS 5.0.4.17 and higher uses PageStream5.ini from C:\Documents and Settings.

Viruses that only attack PageStream5? I have no problems with other apps.

This has been fixed. A blind copy of PGS5 was running in the background.
