I like the vector drawings, Bézier-curves. I like to have more editing possibilities:

In ARTexpression (Amiga drawing/illustration program) you could also make straight lines into a curve (line to curve: | -> ) ), and curve into a straight line (curve to line: ) -> | ).
A straight line doesn't have curve handles at a node (point handle).

Joining nodes, manually, could also be a great enhancement.

In ARTexpression, or was it typeSMITH (Amiga font editor), you could also reduce the number of nodes and the result was more or less the same as the original drawing (unless you asked too much from the program).

And, yes, I have the user manuals that came with them! And if I want it, I can still install Cloanto and use the software (more or less) on a XP-machine.

You can convert lines to curves and back again in PageStream. Drag a control point on top of the corner point to convert to straight line, or Alt- click on corner point to drag out a control point.http://www.pagestream.org/showdocs.php?id=784

Reducing points should be possible with Smooth Path.

Agreed that joining nodes should be possible. Right now, you can only join nodes that are part of the same path (so merge paths to create subpaths).

Reducing points in Smooth Path...

Nice! Only it should be editable, or PGS has to give some examples. ARTexpression could do a lot by simply just retrying the reducing points until the vector illustration became worse (or at a point where ARTexpression just stopped removing points).

I'm not sure how complex the arithmetic is for keeping, more or less, the shape of the vector illustration (drawing).

I am not working with ARTexpression for many years, so this behavior is just what I think it did!

Thanks for the other (Convert lines to curves, or curves into lines)!

Yes, a new Joining Nodes could help.
