I've never seen this problem myself and I use styles extensively. I wonder if you're going the wrong way around or misunderstanding something. The easiest way to edit an existing style (when the style palette is open) is to Shift-Click on the style's name in the palette. You can then change anything you want. It has always worked for me. You don't want to define things in too much detail. If, for example, you always want a font to be bold, that's one thing. But if you want the flexibility of setting it to italic, regular, or whatever, leave the attribute undefined. | |
