If you manually set the tracking of a character to a non-zero amount, -25% for example, then all following text has that tracking. If you manually change the tracking of the following text you can set it, e.g,. by clicking the arrow gadget to increase the tracking in 5% steps. But as soon as you go from -5% to 0% it reverts to -25% tracking. ------- Additional Comment #1 From Tim Doty 2006-02-05 15:55 ------- Also note that setting the tracking in a style is ignored in such a case. All text following a manual over ride of tracking (until the next style) uses the manually set tracking regardless of what the style's tracking is.
