Using:
PgS 5.0.4.4 on Vista Ultimate x64.
PgS 5.0.4.21 on OS X 10.5.4

When printing to a bitmap file, despite the fact I have chosen eg. 300DPI in the Print Setup requester, a DPI value of 75 x 75 DPI is written to the file (according to Windows Photo Gallery) eg. printing to tif file. On the Mac this is 72 DPI (according to Preview).

I have a feeling this also happens on the Amiga version as well.

The request is that PgS embeds the DPI value chosen in the Print Setup requester instead of 75/72 DPI please.

Can you tell me what bitmap format you are using? Some formats don't actually contain dpi information so nothing could be done. If it is a format that does support dpi then it is a bug but I would need to know which filter to fix!

It was printing to a TIF file. It may be a good idea to double-check all export filetypes that support DPI metadata that this information is being embedded.

To check this on OS X, open the output file in Preview and open the Inspector via menu. In Vista, the default Windows Photo Gallery will display DPI. I'm not sure offhand what utility will display DPI on the Amiga. I guess you could load the pic back in PgS.

Indeed, the display library never passed the dpi to the filters. Fixed in 5.0.4.22. Thanks for the catch!
